- Take 2 cups rice
- Use 2 cups sugar
- Take 1 tin pineapple chunks
- Prepare 1 cup water
- Provide 1 teaspoon yellow food colour
- Use 1 pinch saffron
- Provide 10 glacé cherries
- Take 4 tbsp clarified butter
- Provide 1 cup pineapple juice

- In another pot add the sugar, pineapple juice, water, pineapple chunks and cherries and saffron and bring to boil until it becomes a syrup.
- In the pot u boiled the rice in, add the clarified butter and melt. Add the sugar syrup and the rice and stir.
- Boil until most of the rice water has evaporated.
- Then simmer on a low heat for 20 minutes.
